In-House!

In-House!
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:10 KJV

The Charge:
Paul writes to the church in Galatia, encouraging the church to hold on to God. This message is quite timely, considering where the world is at this point in time. The world only knows and recognizes that which it births, and that is evil. Since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, it has become impossible for the world to produce anything other than that which aligns with sin. As we know, you cannot give what you do not have; don't depend on the world to produce the kind of good that Paul speaks about here. You may be distracted by the state of the world at the moment, but it is important to focus on that which God has said. As I do all that God commands, obedience unlocks all the good available in God.

Does the above describe me in any way? I note that the verse targets ALL men. It is not about other people's reaction or response, but that I do good, simply because God says so. I do good, because the One who commanded me to do good is himself good. God does not demand from me that which He has not provided grace and strength for. As often as God gives grace, I must rely on this grace to live for Him, showing off that grace in all its fullness and riches. The world is always watching; it knows that it needs help, but the world does not know how to seek God. Those who know God have a duty to make Him known, so that the world is attracted to God. May my life make God attractive to the world.

The Conclusion:
The emphasis is also on the household of faith. It would mean that God favours those who are already surrendered to Him and accepted him as Lord and Saviour. God created all human beings, but today's verse seems to suggest that those who are members of His family take precedence over those who are not. There is no demand on earth that can exhaust the resources of heaven; as long as I ask God, He will supply all that I need. It frees me then to live out the life of God in me; I do not have to pretend to be who I am not. The blood of Jesus seals eternal life for me, and it also lays out the life of impact that I have been created to have. Would I allow the life of God to then flow out? God's time of favour is here.
