Doing Right

Doing Right

Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Psalms 143:10 KJV

We need to be taught how to do God's will. Nobody learns it by himself or wills it by his/her power; we must have an encounter with God before we can begin the process of doing God's will. It is a continuous learning, because there is no man alive who can claim total and complete knowledge about God.

What does it mean to be taught to do God's will? I believe that a key ingredient in the process is the submission of our hearts to God. We realise that we have nothing, we are nothing outside of God. We realise we need him to come into our lives so we can have direction and focus in our lives. We realise that real life is doing what pleases God, not what we think is best for us.

It is God's will to lead us into the land of uprightness. God never creates a man/woman he has no plans for. His plans area good and perfect, but he does not force his opinions on anyone. We all must come willingly to him, confident that whatever he says or does would always be established. Are you learning from God daily through his word? Are you daily surrendering yourself to his leading and direction for your life?
