Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV
[24] And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
[25] not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
The times we are living in now calls for some strategic and critical actions. We cannot afford to press on without careful thought to our actions and decisions, because there are specific requirements for the times we are in. The Word of God calls these days the perilous times, when the love of many will wax cold. There are actions to stop and others to begin and yet others to keep doing, and the only way to know what precise actions precise moments need is to keep depending on the One who fully understands what this season is all about. The love of many will wax cold but they that know God must press on with His love. Many may wander off the path to life but those who know their God must keep at it until He returns. The big question then would be: "Do I know this God"? Does He own my life and can He dictate terms? Whoever sits at the control centre of my heart will determine the output of my heart.
I must be motivated to keep doing good, not because the target deserves it, but because it is what I have to give. If I show true love, and you also do the same, just imagine how the world look like. This is the power of pooled resources in fellowship, where like minds and surrendered hearts gather together to hear God's direction for life and we then sharpen each other's lives in commitment and devotion to the things that matter to God's heart. This was really made clear in the early church, where thousands were being added to the church as the apostles met frequently, with God performing signs and wonders. The Day is approaching, and it will definitely come. If God's Word is true, and we have many instances of God's Word being true, then I know I have to prepare the right way for that day. Every day I am given draws me closer to that day. Am I preparing the right way? Are my heart and life aligned with the expectations of God for these times? God's time of favour is here.
