The Kingdom of Heaven 8!

The Kingdom of Heaven 8!

Matthew 5:10 AMP
[10] “Blessed [comforted by inner peace and God’s love] are those who are persecuted for doing that which is morally right, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever].

There is always the message that is not really popular; the message that makes many very uncomfortable, but which is a fundamental truth of God's Word. This message is the fact that there will always be persecution and tough times for those who choose to do what is right by God's standard. The world will not like those who align with God's Word, as the world and the Word are parallel lines that can never meet, no matter how hard you try to fit them together. You cannot go against all that is popular and accepted by the world, and not expect that there will be resistance. The world and the Word are ruled by two different masters and authorities, and have two very different eternal realities. Let it be clear then that all who want to please God will face opposition and persecution from the world. It is part of the cost that one must carefully consider when deciding to follow Jesus.

The amazing thing is that God does not leave us without clear instructions on what is coming, and how we can successfully navigate the tough times. His Word has clear direction on the resources and help that are available for such times. It is by direct exposure that I can take advantage of these resources. Let it also be clear that the perspective being highlighted here is that of God, not mine, or anyone else. No other person's opinion counts; no other view matters here except God's. When I align with God's Word, I access amazing help for all that comes my way. The verse above gives insight into what is available: inner peace and God’s love. Let the whole world go to pieces; the one who has God on his side has someone the world cannot pretend to have, or boast of having. I have to answer this question: whose side am I on: God's, or the devil's? Eternity hinges on the the answer to this question.

Be prepared for the arrows the world will throw at you. Be prepared for the resistance that is usual with the world. If you have taken a position, and there appears to be no issue with the world's system, then check your position again and be sure you are on the side of God. If you are able to comfortably blend into any situation, no matter the circumstance or allegiance, please check your commitment. The devil will not fight his own; if he opposes you, it means you are doing something right by God's standard. All who have God have a peace that the world cannot fathom. It is a peace that sees God in every situation, and knows He has it all figured out. Anxiety or a lot of worry will not make it better; only the calm assurance in God, and His power, will give you all that you need for all that life will throw at you. He has all of life, both present and the eternal, figured out. When God is on your side, you have nothing to fear. If He is not on your side, you will live in perpetual fear, both of now and for all eternity. Do you have Him? God's time of favour is here.
