If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him. But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting [God’s willingness to help], for the one who doubts is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind. JAMES 1:5-6 AMP
1. Admittance of helplessness opens the door to God's help. Self -sufficiency tells God he's not needed. Just when you think you are most qualified, God proves that he is the only one who qualifies a man for use.
2. Ask right. Your solution depends on your support system. If it is not God, it is not worth it. The world teaches us we have options; the Word teaches us that God is the only one whose help cuts several generations.
3. Faith is so central to everything we ask of God. No need to approach him if you won't believe his Word or wait for him. As long as you keep hoping in him, the promise is that he will come through.
His time of favour is here.
