No End!

No End!

He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water. John 7:38 AMPC

The Feast of Tabernacles was one of the feasts that God commanded Israel to observe and the Jews were to observe these feasts  each year by going to appear before the Lord their God in the place He had chosen. The Jews had kept to the feasts religiously, but that was how far they went. It became more of a routine than relationship. They had seen Jesus, the author of the new covenant, but they were still stuck in the practices and processes of the old covenant. It was not a surprise that after three days of observing the Jews, He had to cry out, seeking to draw their attention to what He had come to establish. For all of God's promises, there are conditions that I have to comply with, in order to access the benefits of these promises. We seem to be listening to the wrong messages these days, and it appears we have settled for blessings without accountability.

We claim God's promises by just speaking them out, not necessarily because our lives agree with our confession. Reflect on the conditions for walking in God's blessings- believe, cleave to, trust in and rely on God. There is no other way that will guarantee you the enjoyment of God's favour. Until you walk in the right paths, you do not enjoy the right connections and you do not get the right benefits. Where are you walking? Are you fully involved in God's business, or are you a passerby, coming in at intervals to take what you need and going out again to do things your way? Full Residence is the key, not temporary squatting: that is the way to fully enjoy what God has on offer. When you are rightly connected, your innermost being will testify to the touch of God.

My life will showcase the glory of God. It will be a continuous flow, not a temporary or intermittent drip. It will be rivers and streams, showing abundance, not a small, unnoticeable flow. It will be a never-failing supply. It will not produce stale, smelly or brackish water, but it will be a spring, constantly refreshed and replenished and renewed, always giving out newness. Is my life producing living water or producing deadness? Am I showing off God's amazing favour or am I busy trying to keep my head above water? My survival is tied to God, not my family background or bank account balance. My eternity is determined by the One to whom I am connected to and drawing strength from now. Who is He? God's time of favour is here.
