The one who guards his mouth [thinking before he speaks] protects his life; The one who opens his lips wide [and chatters without thinking] comes to ruin. PROVERBS 13:3 AMP
The mouth is the gate to life. What I say is a product of my heart. What is in my heart is a function of the investment of time and resources in building the right contents.
First, I must understand warfare. I must stand guard against the wily darts of the devil. He's always looking for a life to destroy, and the easiest prey is the one whose words are not guided and guarded. I must stand guard and watch; my eternity may depend on it.
For all who have surrendered all, who have learnt how to speak as God directs, true life is the reward. Of course, the same is true for the opposite. If we claim knowledge of God but have no control over our lips, the day of destruction isn't so far away.
As is always the case, there is a choice to be made. Both choices have eternal consequences. Nothing is in vain, and nothing exists in a vacuum. What is your choice? His time of favour is here.
