Access!

Access!

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah. Psalm 24:9‭-‬10 KJV

The Context and Contention:
Again, these are the words penned down by David, the man after God's heart. The issues before David were not directly mentioned, but considering who David was, it could be that he had some long-standing problems, or lingering doubts about the direction of his life. Whatever it was, he spoke under the inspiration of the Spirit to make some declarations. It does not matter how long a problem has persisted; it will only respond to the inspired Word from God. I can spend time arguing, or I can simply speak in faith like David here, and see what God can do.

Gates signify territory, or they could also signify limits or restrictions. They could close you in, or open up other opportunities to you. This is why I need the help of the Holy Spirit to navigate this life. It is impossible to know all the plots and pits that the devil has dug, and the only way to succeed is to depend on the One who walked the path in the past and succeeded. Like David, I decree that whatever the standing problem is begin to bow to the power and authority of the King of glory. When He wants to come in, there is no force that can stop Him. He is before all things, so all things answer to Him. Is there any area of life that needs to be opened up to this King?

The Charge and Conclusion:
Remember, you are dealing with a God of absolute power and authority. The problems could have been in place as long as you can remember, but there is a God that has been in power long before those gates or doors. As long as those gates were made or created, they have to answer to the One called the King of glory. He leads an army, beyond what man's numbers can fathom or explain. He is called the Lord of hosts, because the armies of heaven are under his command.

In order to have a clear view of the numbers we are talking about here, a verse of the bible will suffice:.... and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Revelation 5:11 KJV. A God who can command this number of angels has power all that life can throw at me. He is the only King whose power and reign are not subject to any man's permissions or interests. At his command, the gates must grant him access. I invite Him into my life, so He can do what He alone can do. I ask Him to break down every limit or barrier to the full expression of His power. He is God; my life must reflect that truth. God's time of favour is here.
