For Me!

For Me!

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31 KJV

The Inspiration:
In order to fully understand the words of today's verse, it is important to take a look at the verses just before this one. The power, wisdom and mercy of God is laid bare for all of us to see. Two of those verses say: "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Think about this: I am not an afterthought or an erro of judgment; I am a product of deliberate planning and decisive action. God always has a plan, and it pleased him to form me as part of that plan to establish, promote and fulfil that perfect plan of His. Long before even my parents came together, I was already a part of His plan, because He knew I was coming. No child is a mistake from God's perspective. If He gives, it is because that gift is His plan.

The Contention:
In light of the above, it is therefore important to lay out the value of today's verse. Pray, tell, if God has this great plan for me, where I not only thrive down here on earth, but He also has a plan for my eternal reality, what else can't he give? If He gave the life of His son Jesus for my sin, even at the time that I was not even born, with no awareness of who I was or what I would become, what else can't He give up for me? If Love could be this wide, deep and high, providing grace and strength for the journey ahead, what excuse do I have not to give God my best and my all? God has not prepared anyone for destruction, except the devil and all the demons who fell into disobedience with Him. I am a child of God; saved and washed clean by the blood. I am no ordinary creature; I am formed by an extraordinary God to do extraordinary things for Him; my life cannot go to waste.

The Conclusion:
Let anyone speak as s/he pleases; as long as God has not spoken, men's words are just mere words. Even when God has spoken, men's words are still mere words. When the Bible says God has given us all that we need for life and Godliness, it is really ALL. It means God is rooting for me to succeed. He wants me to use all He has provided to achieve all He has commanded. Let all the earth gather together to fight me; as long as the battle meets me inside Christ, I will be alright. God is on the side of all who fear Him, and if indeed He is for me, who else is there to fear? What hold can anyone have on me, if I am held in God's hand? One with God is in the majority; without God, I am nothing. So, what else is there to add? What else is there to contest? As long as God has said it, He will do it. That is enough for me. Is that enough for you too? God's time of favour is here.
