1PE 5:10 NIV
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
Who says suffering isn't part of Christianity? Where is it promised that a walk with God is a walk away from trials, tribulations and persecutions? Where did God ever promise anyone of his disciples that if they could only follow him, then all their problems would be gone?
What his Word promises is GRACE for the journey ahead. What is promised is his presence and power, which is really all that you need to succeed on this journey of life. His grace is all-encompassing, and is available to all, without fear or favour. His grace will restore, renew, reinvigorate, reshape and repair whatever life breaks, while ensuring that you remain whole in Christ.
He loved me enough to die for me, so he loves me enough to ensure that my walk with him remains strong, cordial and fresh. He loved me enough to guarantee me an eternity with him, so I know that all that I go through here is preparation for that eternity. May I never wander away to the place where the all-encompassing grace of God cannot keep me. His time of favour is here
