Believing the Impossible

Mark 9:23 NIV:
“ ‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

Possibly one of the shortest principles Jesus ever founded but one that is a fundamental thread that runs through the entire frame of human endeavour.  This fundamental truth isn't only real for Christians, but for as many as believe in the dreams they hold. The main difference for us is that we have God on our side, helping to ensure that the dreams and hopes don't die prematurely.
The major breakthroughs in science, medicine, technology and other areas of human achievements show that indeed, anything is humanly possible when man puts his mind to it. The only thing not possible are the things not yet achieved and the things not allowed by God. As long as man remains on earth, God has promised that knowledge will increase. We see that everywhere we turn to.
For us as Christians, it goes deeper than that. We have a God who is helping us to fulfil our dreams and bring those seemingly impossible things to reality. He's constantly working in our favour, seeking to improve our lives as we grow, giving life to the seemingly dead hopes we hold on to. God wants us to hold on to him while we pursue our dreams because it is only in Him that the impossible becomes possible. Hold on to God; he will bring to pass all he has promised. His time of favour is here.
