Hebrews 13:5-6 NIV:
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
The world today has got issues to contend with. There are wars to be negotiated and fought, there are tensions to resolve, quarrels to settle and problems to solve. The human race, since the fall of Adam, seems to have grown sophisticated, both in science and sin, constantly discovering ways to perpetuate evil. How do we then get past these issues and live the life God intends for us? How do we live above the pressures the world pushes back at us?
I believe that your internal condition determines the external. The person who controls your thoughts, mind and decisions will determine what your life will actually produce. If you are constantly filled with worry and anxiety, then check your inner contents. If you have Christ living in you, nothing negative can co-exist with him. You either have him or you don't. There's no middle ground, no sitting on the fence. Worry goes around, looking for free space.
Check your constitution also: is the Word of God your pursuit or the knowledge of the world? Both are good but the right priority is important. His Word holds answers to all of life's questions so we must give it its rightful place in our hearts. Only then can we be sustained even when there's a war going on around us. Jeremiah 23:29 NKJV says: “ Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord , “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
What more needs be said? Be at peace and be worry-free, for his time of favour has come.
