Better is a little with the [reverent, worshipful] fear of the Lord Than great treasure and trouble with it. PROVERBS 15:16 AMP
What are your priorities? What do you consider important and necessary on the journey of life? Is it a crime to be wealthy? Is it a good thing to always have little or a bad thing to always have excess?
The answer lies in my heart and my heart is the key answer to those questions. Sometimes, the test is in the little or it could be in the much. Sometimes, it could be that the much was given to you so you could be a blessing to someone else. The little may have been given to you as the contact point for your miracle of plenty. What is key is your heart.
Ask the boy with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish, seeing a multitude of only 5,000 men, apart from women and children. What could his little do? He gave it anyway, and he got 12 full baskets of leftovers. Ask the rich man who had much, and couldn't spare any for Lazarus at his gate. He had much but his heart wasn't right. Ask the widow who gave her mite, the smallest by man's estimation but the best by God's estimation. So, you see, it is not really about what you have or don't have, but about your heart at all times.
In all situations, whether in plenty or in little, fear God. When you fear him, nothing else will matter: whether there is little or much. When God is my utmost pursuit, every other thing fades away into nothingness. So, which one is your focus: the little, the much or the heart that seeks to please God, no matter what it holds? His time of favour is here.
