Living Arrangements!

HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. Psalm 91:1 AMPC

Every word in scripture has a message God would have us learn. Today's extract starts with an invitation, a call to anyone who is interested to tap into the offer God is making. It is for anyone and everyone, but the benefits and blessings will be for the man who responds. It has always been said that God would not force himself on any man, but he will show his power in the lives of all who come to him. He who dwells tells me that there is a role I must play, if I am to enjoy the fullness of all that God has on offer. It is not a temporary arrangement, where I come in when I like and do as I please. God has terms and conditions to his blessings and I can only enjoy them in full when I do as he commands. 

There is a place of safety, and it is found in the secret place of the Most High. It is not a place of common knowledge, where anyone can stumble into by accident. It is a place of diligent search and careful consideration. It is a place of fervent, continuous and diligent service. It is owned by the Most High, and he calls men to come look for him where he is. It is secret because not everyone would take the time and effort required to find it. God is the Most High, yet he stoops low to my level to look for me. He is high and mighty, yet his power and grace is best seen in weak, mortal vessels like me.

When I find that secret place, I remain there by daily meditation and obedience to his commands. You are not secured there to live as you please, but to live a life of commitment to the things God commands. You are not guaranteed insulation from trials and tribulations; but you are assured that you are in a place where no foe can withstand. God isn't so much interested in my comfort as he is in my character. He knows that when he has built character in me, he can entrust mighty assignments into my hands. When his shadow guides me life, he can launch me into the world to make impact for him.
