Let It!

Let It!

Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. COLOSSIANS 3:15 AMP

As always, I have the power to choose from 2 possible outcomes. I could allow God work in me or I could pursue a personal agenda; there is actually no third option, as indecision is a stand against God. No matter the choice I make, I should aslo note: there are eternal consequences attached to every choice.

There is a peace Christ gives that nobody else can. There is a joy and hope that Christ births in any heart He is allowed into. That peace is a function of God's presence and is nurtured by a daily walk with Him. I note there is no promise of peace around you on the outside; God is more interested in my heart than in my earthly comfort. He knows that if He has my heart, He has everything about me.

So, when questions, storms, winds and trials arise, the deciding factor in what to do, where to go and how to proceed becomes the peace that Christ has birthed in me. And there is this joy that comes from like minds also coming together in fellowship; where one person's experience becomes a testimony for another person; where one person's victory becomes another person's expectation. I do not run this race alone; my experiences may be peculiar to me alone, but the resources and help available in and through Christ are amazing.

So, when the devil wants you to think that you are alone, remind Him of similar promises of God in his Word about His abiding presence. When you know who you belong to and who you are, you will be eternally grateful. Christ wants me to know and walk with Him daily, so I can experience the fullness of the riches of grace available in and through Christ. What are you waiting for? His time of favour is here.
