Helped!

Helped!

He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. Isaiah 40:29 AMPC

Today's extract speaks on quite a few things:

1. There is only one source for all that I need, and it is God. Position, power, influence and education are good tools, but they are limited in their eternal impact. They have their uses, but in the day of trouble, you need more than a good command of English language to overcome the challenges before you.

2. I must acknowledge my weaknesses if I will take advantage of the help available in and through God. If I consider myself strong and self-sufficient, why would I need God for anything? Men refer to themselves as 'self-made', forgetting that no man is able to predict with any sense of accuracy, what is ahead. If I know I am weak, and present myself as such to God, I open myself up to the display of His power and grace.

3. With God, not having any might makes no difference; after all, what you need isn't so much about what you can bring to the table as much as what God is able to do in and through you. We trust so much in our talents and gifts, forgetting that the One who gave them has an opinion on how, where and when they should be used.

Don't ever think that God needs you in particular to achieve what He wants to achieve; what he needs from you is an available altar, from where He can speak to the world through your life. He can use anything and anyone, and when His power and enablement comes, you will know of a truth that this had nothing to do with your skills, but with His Strength. He's all you need. His time of favour is here.
