Acknowledge God!

Acknowledge Him!

‭Proverbs 3: 6 AMPC‬
[6]  In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

Yesterday's devotion is the verse just before the focus for today. It has been established that the Lord csn only keep that which has been committed into His hand. Trust in God has to be total if it will lead to the full supply of the grace that is available for all who trust Him. Today's verse then makes it clear that if I claim to trust God completely, the proof of my trust will be seen in my daily decisions. It is very easy to talk; talk is said to be cheap. The proof of my inner conviction is in my outward profession. The proof that I trust God is that I audit my life in light of His expectations. I do not lay claim to any sense of self-sufficiency or independence.

Again, it has to be said that God will not take half-hearted devotion. It has to be my whole heart involved in the worship of and service to God. It is the lie of the devil to think that there are some areas of my life that God is not interested in, and has left me to deal in those areas as I see fit. If there was no plan, God would not have formed me, or given me all the amazing promises that I can look forward to, and which will give me inspiration to press on toward the mark, and to make eternity with God. At the heart of a life that is totally and completely surrendered to God is a desire to know who God is, who I am in God, what He has purposed and planted me for, and where I am headed.

When all the above are clear and in place, the pursuits and the priorities will all align. I have to know, recognize and acknowledge God as the sole master of the universe. He knows the end from the beginning, as well as the beginning of the end. He calls out the stars by name, and none can be missing. In fact, He says that even the hair on my end are all numbered. That is the God who calls me to come to Him, as I am, and He will do a work on and in me, so that His life can then flow out of me to bless and impact others. He will direct my path, because I listen out for His voice. All that is crooked will hear God's voice and adjust. If I want this, I must submit. Would you? God's time of favour is here.
