Call!

Call!

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 KJV

In light of all we have read and heard this Easter season, I think it is apt that this passage is the focus today. Right from creation, God knew what was coming: sin, punishment, death, Jesus, life and eternity. Nothing catches God by suprise, so nothing I see today will have made a big difference to the purpose and plan of God for my life, except of course, the exercise of my own free will. This is the focus of today's extract.

All has been done: the price paid, and the prize laid out. All i am asked to do is to take advantage of the offer laid out: call on the One God has indicated as his means of salvation for all mankind. God asks for nothing more or less; just a sincere call to God from the heart. You have to call to the right person and at the right time and on the right issues. It is an offer to all men everywhere; it is a call to call upon the same God that men of old called on and their lives never remained the same.

Remember, the call has an expiry date. Nothing down here, no matter how ugly or beautiful, lasts forever. Whilst I still have time, I must take the decision: what do I do with Jesus? He is not just a nice concept; He is the One approved by God to be the saviour of the Lord and the Lord of all flesh. Do you know God this way? Have you experienced Him this way? He wants to make a change; will you let Him? His time of favour is here.
