One and Only!

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 KJV

The world tries to sell us options. It tries to convince us that it has answers to the fundamental problem of man, which is sin. It boasts of great achievements in science and technology, advances in modern medicine and space exploration, but it has not found the answer to the genetic nature of sin. This is because the antidote to sin cannot be the very world that celebrates it, but One who has conquered sin and supplies grace and strength for all who would walk with Him.

The one and only need of man is salvation. Man does not admit it, but he needs help. Sin ensures that the end of all men is death, but through Christ, life is offered full and free to all men who come to Christ. And that is the defining factor: you have to take the step of faith and make the approach.

Let it be known that God has not placed the hope of salvation in any other name. As long as I am sure that God is the target of my search, I have to come to Him on His own terms. He has laid down the standard; my opinion doesn't really count.

And names matter; ask those who were named by God before they were born, like John the Baptist, or whose destinies were changed, like Jabez, but whose negative name wasn't changed. Names matter, because they speak to the past, present and future. Men assign names to reflect their journeys and experiences. However, no man can by his power determine the destiny of any name. That is what applies to the name Jesus. His name has been established by God to be the source and seal of salvation. Long before He manifested in the physical, Jesus had been put forward as the One in whom the people of the world will find all that God is and gives.
