Have we ever asked ourselves this fundamental question: What will I be remembered for when I die? What legacies will outlive me? What am i leaving for the children God is giving me? These are fundamental questions that need answers and what I do now are the seeds that will bear the fruits that will determine how I end.
Israel was given a clear warning at the entrance to the promised land of Canaan: They were to teach their children about the laws of God so that they would in turn know God and pass the knowledge to their own childdren. We know now that after some time, the fathers stopped talking and the children stopped listening or caring about the things of God. What we have now is a generation of youths with a shallow knowledge of God and an even more frightening lack of fear for God and his commands. Is it a wonder then that we have a world so confused and confounded?
Pity the generation that arises which does not know God or his requirements; pity the nation where the leaders do not know God or walk in his ways; pity the family with a complete lack of the knowledge of what expects or demands; pity the life with no God,no love and no faith in God or his abilities.
I pray that we will not crowd God out of our lives. May we never be so busy that God will be the price we will pay to make a living. There is no true life outside of God. Find god, find Life. He's the Way,the Truth and the Life.
We celebrate God's faithfulness and mercy; because of these, our hearts have a continual feast. We celebrate each day as God's season of favour
