Genesis 31:24 NIV:
Then God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream at night and said to him, “Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.”
Passages like this one above constantly remind me of God and his unsearchable ways. We face battles daily, some of them seemingly unbearable. We think God must have forgotten about us or he doesn't want to help us. There are times the devil too will want to give us a guilty conscience, so we can keep looking inwards and outwards instead of looking upwards to God- the refuge and strength.
There is an eternal truth expoused in the verse above: nothing happens to us without his express permission. The intensity, degree, length, depth, height, width, scopee and details of all our experiences are only as God himself allows. Job's experience is also a case in point here. All he experienced was so carefully planned by God that in the end, Job himself could testify of the goodness of God.
That is how God does his things. He has total, absolute and complete control over all his creation and we can only trust His wisdom, timing and grace as we run the race he has set before us.
Walk with God today and always, for His time of favour is here.
