Walking With God

Galatians 6:7, 9 AMP:
Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap. And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.

I am not sure that there is anything else that can be added to the verses quoted above. It has become the norm for us as human beings to hide behind our 'humanness' to perpetrate evil. We tell ourselves that we are only human after all, and we go out of our way to act true to type, deceiving others and being deceived by others. We live for the now, forgetting that all our attempts at self-righteousness and justification hold no wster before the righteous and all-knowing God.
We must therefore settle this in our hearts, that all we do is a seed, something that will germinate and bear fruit. We have control over what kind of seed we will plant and we can therefore almost predict what the fruit will look like. Or what else can a life of lying and stealing produce? What else can deceit bring out? What can the unfruitful works of darkness lead to? All we do is an investment and all investments will yield returns at the appropriate time.
No wonder God is called the Righteous God. He cannott be bribed like earthly judges to change his rules and he cannot be deceived by our intentions and motives because he is the judge of all the thoughts and intents of all men's hearts. We can only deceive men like us, God already knows the reasons behind the roles we play long before we act them out.
We must therefore forget pretence and lay our lives bare before God. He has promised us his presence, power and pleasure if we hold on to Him and do what pleases Him. Genesis 8:22 AMP promises:
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
As we live our daily lives, let this be a guiding light: God sees all, knows all, understands all and will positively reward or punish ALL. Nothing is hidden before Him.
