What Do You Hold?

Exodus 4:2 AMP:
And the Lord said to him, What is that in your hand? And he said, A rod.

Too many times, we desire to achieve great things for God. We dream of big things, great achievements and awesome breakthroughs. We see big things, we think big ideas and we envision big dreams. It is the small beginnings however, that are our biggest obstacles. We are so focused on the big picture that we ignore the tiny details. We are fixated on the whole that we ignore or forget the parts that lead to the whole.
Moses was a man who knew God had called him. However, his attempt at speeding up his peoples' deliverance fell flat and he had to run for his life. Here he was, in the wilderness for about 40 years, seemingly forgotten. Yet, God never forgets the tiny details.
Moses didn't see anything much to celebrate about himself but God, who sees the end of a man from his beginning, knows just how to bring his purpose to pass. All he needed was Moses' availability and the willingness to surrender all to God.
The same goes out to us too. It is what you havr now that God wants to start with. All he needs from you is your little, he will make it big. The widow of Zarephath, the boy with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes, the wife of the prophet who died, all had little when the prophets came calling and demanding for that little. They could have looked outwards and honestly assessed the situation, claiming they didn't have enough but they gave their small and God made it big.
There is nothing given to God that is not adequately compensated. God owes no man anything and he will do all it takes to fulfill his promises.
That little is the starting point; give it to God as an investment and see him bless you beyond your wildest expectations.
Rejoice, for his time of favour is here
