Watch what you read

Psalm 1:2 NIV

but whose delight is in the law of the Lord , and who meditates on his law day and night.

Yesterday, we took stock of where we walked, stood and sat. Your focus and priorities determine where you stand, where you sit and who you associate with. One fact- you can only make a withdrawal from an account you have been making deposits into over time. Life does not give you credit; it only makes a demand from what you have sown. What is the quality of your investment? What is the quantity of your investment? Just how careful are you about the things you invest your time on? Is it about the lastest novel/film releases; is it about the latest fashion; is it about the newest trend, or is it about the living, breathing, changeless Word of God, which is able to bring about the change you desire?

Invest time on the Word of God. The Psalmist must have tested many other options for him to arrive at this conclusion- it is the Word of God that is the focus; nothing else compares and nothing else matters. If we can have the same single-minded focus, then our lives will be less complicated as we allow God work in us that which he deems perfect.

Study his Word, meditate on it day and night. Take time out to know God's mind on issues that touch you. Delight in His Word and God will delight in you. His time of favour is here.
