Whatever he Says.......

Matthew 1:22-23 NIV

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).

It doesn't matter how strange, how tough or how incredible God's Word sounds; all I need to do is settle the issue of who said it. A lot of what we hear and read are processed through our human senses, but there is a truth these days: even my senses can be deceived and lead me astray. A lot of our decisions, steps and actions are guided by what we hear daily and if we are not careful, we will make costly mistakes based on these sensory messages.

How do you accept the fact that a virgin will conceive and bear a son? How do you accept the fact that a woman gets pregnant and has a son without the natural process of human relations? If your heart cannot accept that truth, then how ca you accept other 'truths', like Peter walking on water, Jesus calming the storms, or feeding the five thousand? If one is easier to believe, am I not logically processing what I hear, accepting only the things that are convenient? If I take only the things that my head can explain and reject the rest, then I am being short-sighted and faithless.

If God can make a virgin conceive and feed 5,000 men with only 5 loaves, what else can't he do? If he can pay tax from money found in a fish's mouth, what can't he provide? If God can raise the dead, what situation is beyond his help that he cannot reverse or correct? All I need to do is to stop trying to logically process what God can or can't do, and start trusting his power, wisdom and greatness.

God is God, and he can do anything that is in his Word and he has spoken about. Get him to speak to you and that Word is surely coming to pass. His time of favour is here.
