JER 32:17 NIV
“Ah, Sovereign Lord , you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.
Have you sat down to consider the world around you and how everything fit together? Have you considered all the amazing and puzzling things around you and wondered just how they came to be? Have you considered the mighty seas and its raging surges, yet it has not covered the whole earth? Hot as the sun is these days, have you asked yourself why it has not burned up the whole earth? As we consider the puzzle called creation, there's no way it will not generate questions in your mind as to the greatness, power, wisdom, knowledge and absolute dignity of God seen in his creation. He has sustained all he's created through the centuries. As one empire rises and falls and another takes its place, God's hand is seen in creation, pulling the strings and setting everything in its proper place.
It is therefore necessary and important that we accord the respect and awe due God to him. He is the unchanging changer who turns things around for our good, yet He himself remains the same faithful God through all generation. He is the one who calls himself the I Am that I Am, who is always relevant and contemporary no matter the age or generation, the one who is father to the fatherless, husband to the widow, strength to the weak, food to the hungry and hope to the hopeless.
This Morning, I raise my voice and join the multitude in worshipping this great, awesome father, who loves us no matter how far away we wander or how polluted we become. I praise him for his wonderful plans for my life and the structure He has built around me to help me. I Thank him for family to love and care for me, and I Thank him for the gift of work and play. I Thank him for oppourtunities to talk to him and hear from him in return and I Thank him for the hope of eternity, which keeps my focus on him till the end of time. Indeed, our God is awesome. He deserves all praise. He's powerful, Nothing is beyond him and nothing suprises him. God you are awesome, your time of favour is here.
