1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
God indeed is awesome. There is nothing the devil has done that God has not forseen and made adequate plans for. When the devil stole the blessing of Adam, God was there to restore the blessings through the seed of the woman. No matter how complex the generation or how difficult the terrain, God has always been several steps and great thoughts ahead of the devil and his devious plans. It doesn't matter what the devil does or what man tries; God is always in charge, ensuring that even the worst of situations produce the best of outcomes, in line with the good and perfect purpose he has in mind for everyone he has created.
It doesn't matter how 'good' or how 'bad' things are now; its nothing compared to what God has in store for you. It doesn't matter just how much of the lies of the devil you had believed in the past; what matters now is what you believe now. Today's extract seeks to change our focus from what we see around us now to what God seeks to do in our lives. He's changing our inner state to accept the great and awesome plans he has for us, plans that our present minds just cannot comprehend now. He is the mighty God and the awesome ruler over the affairs of men and he is the One with the final say over the affairs of his creation. Whatever he allows, happens, and whatever he resists cannot happen. What he needs from us is absolute dependence and trust in his power, wisdom and strength. What he needs from us is that we love him unconditionally, trusting that as we hold on to him, Through all the things he will bring our way, we will look back one day and see that truly: God has great plans for me. His time of favour has come.
