The Right Response 3

ROM 11:33 NIV

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!

I have not seen or heard anywhere else that a person can be the embodiment of wisdom and power. It is only in the Bible that you read that Jesus is described as the wisdom and the power of God. He was referrred to by John as being there in the beginning with God, and He is the One through whom all things were created and for his pleasure were all things created. Revelations says that He is the One who has been found worthy to break the seals and open the scrolls, so the blessings for his children can be revealed and appropriate punishments meted out to his enemies. His ways are not our ways, and his thoughts are not our thoughts. He is the beginning and the end of all creation, sustaining all things by his powerful Word. He calls the things that are not as though they were, which is why light can be brought out of the thickest darkness and a life can be formed out of dust, the most unlikely raw material.

His promises are trustworthy because they are backed up by two immutable, unbreakable things: his Name and his Word. Whatever He says, He can do, and if He says it, He will work out the circumstances for the fulfilment of these words. Ours is to trust and walk with him, knowing that He knows just how this journey will go, and how it will end. His wisdom is indeed beyond searching out, and his ways are mysterious. He's the only One who's capable of working out the future, even from a terrible past, because He knows the good end prepared for us and He will work out ALL things happening now, towards that good end. His time of favour is here.
