Origins!

Origins!

So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.
GENESIS 1:27 AMP

Today's extract lies at the very heart of all I am, have or could ever aspire to be. It is very important that I look at today's extract again and see what God is saying to and about me, so i can take required steps to align myself with God's perfect plan for me. Today's extract answers so many questions about the WHO/WHAT I am, the WHY begind the way I am created and the HOW I got to where I am today.

First, I am told that God is the one who created me. Science will say all sorts, but one thing seem to be clear: even the sum of all empirical evidence does not agree on how man was created. Some refer to a big bang, some refer to the work of atoms, whilst others just don't make sense. However, when you consider the end of all men, when they all return to dust when they die, you get the distinct impression that God knows what he's talking about. He is the Source of all life, and because He is the creator, then all that has been made find Identity in and through Him.

Secondly, you cannot define anything outside the One who created it, and you can also define the content of a thing by its origin. Part of the greatness of this understanding is knowing that variety is part of the spice. Being male and female isn't so much about convenience as it is about God's divine purpose and will. He knew just why he created me and placed me where I am now, and my best service would be a discovery and pursuit of that purpose. This understanding is so fundamental to all of life.

Thirdly, I am made in the image and likeness of God, so all I do, say, think, or produce must look like the One who has made me. If I am not living true to my origins, it means I cannot end right. Actually, there was no end intended for me in creation. Because I was made in God's image, no end, limits or death were envisaged. Sin came to distort that plan, but through Christ, the original plan has been restored. I am made to live forever, and based on my choices down here, life will continue for me in eternity. Where I end up will depend on my acceptance and pursuit of God's perfect will for me. Where do you stand? His time of favour is here.
