Balance!

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 1 Peter 3:12 KJV

A few truths are established in today's extract and we will do well to look at a few of them. First, nothing escapes God's attention. He created the eyes, so you can bet it that nothing is hidden from his view. Secondly, those who walk in line with God's will enjoy a measure of protection and presence that others walking outside have. Yes, God is faithful to all, irrespective of loyalty, but He assures all who follow Him of His presence, power and provision. What could beat that?

Thirdly, God hears the prayers of all who follow Him. Note that it does not guarantee answers the way we want them, but that God hears and His answers will always be what is best for His children. When I approach the throne of grace, I am coming before the owner of all things, who is able to do much more than I could ever ask or imagine. When God is on your side, it does not matter what the quantity and quality of the opposition is. God always hears and answers; He could say Yes now, or No or maybe later, subject to conditions, but you can rest assured that His answer will be to your advantage.

Lastly, it cuts both ways. If God is pleased with all who surrender to Him, imagine the lot of all who resist Him. There is no sitting on the fence when it comes to allegiance; you are either all in or all out. If God could spew out of His mouth all lukewarm people, don't think you will do any better if you do not define your allegiance. God has enemies, and they are all who reject his Lordship over their lives. If man fights you, God could defend you. If God fights you, who is able to defend you? Make up your mind today; God will not take anything less than all you are and have. His time of favour is here.
