For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
Jeremiah 31:25 KJV
A quick lesson I observed from the verse above is that all that God has done is indicated in the past tense. Here, He is not speaking about what He plans to do or what He is doing now, but what He has already done and finished. God is One with power and authority, whose words or actions can't be questioned by anyone. He does not answer to anyone, and does not need permission from anyone to do whatever it is He pleases. If He says he has done something, who is He that can question or limit it? God would have me know that He has power to sort me out, if I will only submit to Him and allow Him work.
There are messages for all souls, but today's message is for the weary and sorrowful souls. What could be the weight that has been laid on your heart? What are those experiences that may have brought you pain and sorrow? God is speaking to you today: He has provided the antidote to weariness and sorrow. In Him is all that I require for life and Godliness. What is the message for these souls: that God is all that I need, and in Him lie all that can solve the problems I have. The perfect solution to the specific problem is provided by God.
The world cannot give you what it does not have, and it cannot solve a problem that is of its own making. Only God can do what no man can do, and I have to trust him completely by surrendering my life to Him. Remember, He can only sustain that which is under His control. He is the vine that provides the nourishment that the branches need. If I am looking for true satisfaction, God is the answer. His resources are limitless, and no demand of earth can exhaust the resources of heaven. Ask Him for all you need today; his heart of love will give you all that you need. God's time of favour is here.
