Plan, yet Do God!

Plan, yet do God!

A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them. PROVERBS 16:9 AMP

No harm in planning; in fact, it is good to have an idea of the direction you want your life to go. Life itself is a journey, which one must prepare for. There will be early risers, late bloomers, bumps on the road, detours from the main road into other routes, minor accidents, and so many other things related to journeys.

However, I learn today that I must seek approval and validation of my plans from the owner of life itself. Of what use are well laid plans made without the approval of the only One who can bring them to pass? Have you seen any man who can beat his chest and swear by all he has that he is a self -made man?

Life's pitfalls are many, and I need the experience of the Master compass to navigate successfully. My steps need direction and my plans need establishment, and both can only come from God himself. The fact that I have made wonderful plans and they all seem to be falling in place has got nothing to do with the intelligence of my mind, but with the mercy and favour of God himself.

So, enjoy the journey. Plan well, travel well, take in the sights, sounds and experiences that life will throw at you. But never forget in whose hands you are and under whose command you live. God will not force himself on me; he only wants me to willingly surrender all to him so that my life will make the impact it was destined to make. After all, the life was never mine in the first place. His time of favour is here.
