The Right End!

The world defines peace as the absence of war; God defines it in various ways, but the most crucial as the Presence of the One called Peace himself. The world may not know peace the way it has defined it, because the unbroken, carnal human nature thrives on conflict. However, when that life comes in contact with the One called Peace, there is both inner and outer witness to that change..

Peace is a function of 'doing right' or 'righteousness'. Interestingly, there is nowhere righteousness is defined from the human perspective; it has always been about God's perspective. I cannot earn righteousness; it is credited to me by God on the basis of my relationship with Him. So we see here that God is the major and only factor in getting all the blessings that are mentioned in today's extract. When God is present in a life, it does not mean the absence of trials and tribulations, but the presence of God will guarantee peace.

When he is in you, it doesn't matter what comes around, in or on you. Water may get into the boat, but it cannot sink it, if the one who matters is in you. Even if the winds and storms rage, his presence assures me of quietness and confident trust.
