Priorities!

Priorities!

Now am I trying to win the favor of men, or of God? Do I seek to please men? If I were still seeking popularity with men, I should not be a bond servant of Christ (the Messiah).
Galatians 1:10 AMPC

Truth Facts:

1. All of life comes down to a choice: who do I please with my life: is it God or man? No matter what your response is, the truth will be determined by your actions and reactions everyday.

2. What are my priorities? What do I consider as very important? Am I crazy about man's applause and not so bothered about God's approval? Do I seek out the tokens of liars, men who will tell me what I want to hear, truth or otherwise, or do I seek out God, who is interested in developing my character here on earth in preparation for eternity?

3. I then have a choice. I cannot do both: please God and please man. Both have competing interests; both do not see eye to eye on anything. I cannot play both sides, or smartly avoid commitment to any. The denial of one is the embrace of the other, so think deeply on your choice today.

Paul got it spot on when he concluded by saying if he was still seeking out popularity with man, he could not be an effective disciple or witness for Christ. A man who would impact the world must be totally free of man's expectations or the need for man's approval. Have you made your own choice? Have you set your priorities? Whose applause matters to you right now: God's or man's? His time of favour is here.
