Fact!

For with God nothing [is or ever] shall be impossible.”
LUKE 1:37 AMP

For no word from God will ever fail.” Luke 1:37 NIV

As we journey through life, we will come across several people, situations and circumstances that will test our principles and  foundations, in order to confirm if what we have and hold is the genuine article. God would also not commit genuine, precious assignments into the hands of an untested and untrusted vessel, lest that vessel mess up the assignment. What then is required by us, as we trust God to help us walk in line with his will? What does today's extract say?

First, we must understand the source and origin of all that we have and hold. Man has found confidence in himself- his position, possessions and power; however, life has shown that these things do not last and cannot even sustain you on the journey to eternity. What then is the right source- it is a Word from God. When all around you is uncertain and unsure, what God says is the only anchor that will hold you up and sustain you. Nothing else will.

Second, when you have understood the source, you must trust the Source completely. Too many times, man has seen and treated God as one of many options. We take God as equal with other choices, and we assume that if he fails, there are other options to explore. Unfortunately, life has also shown that God alone lasts forever. There is a big difference between knowing the source and trusting completely in the source. One can be obtained from reading about him or hearing about his exploits as testimonies, but the other is forged through experiences. As you experience difficulties and hardships, whilst holding on to God, what you have read and heard about him is applied to your life, and you see God in a new light. Nobody can help you trust God, you must learn it by yourself, because what you know is first personal, before you can show/teach it to others.

Thirdly, an undeniable fact; the source has power that cannot be faulted or countered. I am yet to see a man who stood against God and lived to tell the story. With God, nothing fails. With God, everything he says or does is loaded with his nature, power and might. You can't stand against him if he is at work; you will do best to just hold on to him and his never-failing Word.

I hold on to God. I have learnt that everything around me is temporary; only God and whoever he helps actually stands. What would it be for you? His time of favour is here.
