My eyes are continually toward the Lord , For He will bring my feet out of the net. PSALM 25:15 AMP
Truth Facts:
1. Your focus determines your placement. You cannot receive anything that your mind cannot conceive, your heart receive and your eyes perceive. What do you see, or better still, how are you seeing?
2. There will be distractions, and what you get will come down to one single choice: what you have determined to focus on. The Psalmist here had settled his focus: it will be on the Lord only, and continually also. Two things: certainty and persistence of your focus. You do not focus on God some of the time and then focus on your account balance the other times. You do not seek out help from other sources and then come running to God when things have gone bad. Well, God is not man; he doesn't treat us the same way we treat him, but you would have missed out on important lessons that waiting on God would have taught you.
3. Like it has been said, there are distractions everywhere. The devil, sin, self and situations will place obstacles on your way. Life will present seemingly insurmountable challenges your way, making it look like there are no other options. The assurance here is this: when my focus is right, my steps are ordered. When I keep my eyes on God, he keeps my feet from the snares. When I keep my eyes on God, he sorts out all other distractions.
Like the popular hymn says: many things about tomorrow, I don't seem to understand; but I know who holds tomorrow, and I know he holds my hands. That is enough for me. Is that sufficient for you too? His time of favour is here.
