Life at the End of It All!

But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in Godʼs love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Jude 1:20‭-‬21 NIV

Expectation of Growth
God expects me to grow in my knowledge of him. Faith is the ingredient that pleases God, and by feeding on His Word, I learn more about God. Book knowledge is important, but God knowledge is your most important asset.

Prayer is Key
There is nothing much a life can achieve without prayer. God is always speaking, because his plans and purposes are not subject to any man's whims. He will do whatever he pleases, when he pleases and how he pleases, but the man who has discovered the secret of communion with God has an advantage- s/he is God's friend and is in line to receive direction and insight long before the world is aware of what's next.

Consistent Focus
I am enjoined to keep myself continuously in God's love. It means that there is a danger that if I am not dependent on God, I could move out of his love. Love is a daily walk and a daily dependence on the one who is Love himself. You cannot understand, live or align with God's love if you are outside his purpose for your life. Do you know God, or better still, does God know you as his own? Is his mark of ownership- the Holy Spirit- living in you?

Eternity in View
It all boils down to this: the end of your life now is true Life itself. Your life was not built to die. God does not create anything without a purpose, and all life will continue somewhere- either in the New Jerusalem or the Lake of fire. The choice is mine and mine alone; I cannot rest on someone else's mistakes as the reason why I missed it. It is directed as me and you individually. There is no joint effort here. Are you born by the Spirit? Have you handed over your life to the One who is Life himself-Jesus Christ? His time of favour is here.
