All In!

I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose. 1 Corinthians 1:10 NLT

It is a queer world. It teaches that to get ahead, you have to be smarter, better, more educated, more connected, stronger than any other person. The world teaches that life is a race, and that only the one who crosses the line first wins all. So, we fight, we burn bridges, we struggle to beat others, thinking we find fulfilment when we are sitting on top of the pile. Unfortunately, with God, this does not work.

Living in harmony with others does not deny your individuality; it means that you can rise above the things that emphasize the differences and focus on the things that connect us together. God made over 7 billion people, with peculiar characteristics and traits, yet put us all in his earth, asking that we live together as one. Do you think that God does not know what he is doing?

Just one small clarification: until you identify with Christ, you really will not understand the need and path of harmony. This advice was given to the church in Corinth, and is also given to us too, who have identified with the true body of Christ, not the contraptions set up by man. We are to be united in thought and purpose, which means that though we are separate and distinct as individuals, God's purpose is the connecting theme that gives our lives meaning and direction. It does not matter what your physical location is; in Christ, distance doesn't matter. His blood paved the way for us, his life flows through us, and the world is waiting to see the difference that his life can bring. Are you a vessel that this life can flow through? Are you all in? His time of favour is here.
