You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. Isaiah 26:3-4 NLT
As it has been established, knowing God does not prevent you from being shaken. The Presence of God in you is not an insurance policy against trials and tribulations; you only have a sure place of refuge, protection, guidance and safety. How do I know this: first of all, there is something called perfect peace. On this earth, outside of God, you really cannot have it. The world cannot give it because it does not have it.
Also, for you to enjoy that peace, you have got to trust in God completely and totally, with no room for doubt or anything else. Today's extract says 'whose thoughts are fixed on you'. As long as you have a second option, you would not totally depend on God. As long as you allow your thoughts to venture into the realm if alternatives, you may not enjoy the fullness of this God. Even when your thoughts wonder about the enormity of your problems, remember the nature of the God you have- the One called the eternal Rock. Trials have expiry dates; problems would always come and go, but the one thing that remains constant is that Rock, that God who is the same throughout all generations.
Trust isn't easy; it is built over time. Fortunately, all I have is time. God has given me time, and he has constantly proven himself to be trustworthy. His handling of my life shows his power; the impact of my life shows his investments in me. The best I can do is to ensure that my life testifies daily to the power, nature and grace of God. His time of favour is here.
