God's Plans, Man's ways

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. ROMANS 8:28 AMP

Who you know determines what you get. You don't come to God claiming rights, privileges and benefits simply because you are whatever you think you are; what you enjoy is a direct effect of the value of relationships. This is key. You can't enjoy the benefits of a family if you do not belong to that family. You could claim rights, but what you get will flow from your connection and identity.

God has always been at work, long before I was created. All I would do or become had been settled long before the seed for my life was planted in the womb. How then would I think that something temporal and ephemeral would be powerful enough to thwart God's purpose? How would I think that anything, no matter how high, low, wide or powerful, could defeat God's plan for my life?

Man defines events by what he sees in the immediate; God defines events by his eternal plan and purpose, and he has already said all things work together for good for all who love Him. It does not matter what it looks like now; it will work out the way God planned it, as long as I remain faithful and committed to his plan for me. His time of favour is here.
