Waiting for God!

I wait [patiently] for the Lord , my soul [expectantly] waits, And in His word do I hope. PSALM 130:5 AMP

The regular, usual man does not love the word 'wait'. It connotes a delay, inactivity, dormancy or simply hibernation. The world teaches that you must fight, hustle and struggle, as there is nothing free. That is true in all respects. It just does not consider the God-factor in those permutations.

What does the God-factor show me? It tells me that with God, timing is key. If God were to give me all I needed NOW, would I survive? If there were lessons I needed to imbibe and internalize so I could maximise the blessings coming, of what good would struggling for them now do me? With God, there is nothing like too late or too early, as long as I have surrendered my life and control to him.

So, I wait. It does not indicate foolishness or inactivity. When you consider the work of the Word, it is living and active. You don't fold your hands and sleep; you do whatever the Word of God commands, while you wait. It is not a period of wishing for good old days, but looking ahead to brighter days. God spoke from the past to the present, whilst also addressing the future. Same with me, if I have found my anchor in him alone. Is that the same for you? His time of favour is here.
